Speciality Farm Foods is owned by Alan Porter who has been a leader in the development and understanding of speciality food in the UK for 40 years. Cooking, retailing, producing and distributing always with a passion for the best.
Speciality Farm Foods works with farmers and artisans. Passionate like Alan and looking for a sales outlet that appreciates their products. Alan pays piers to help him administer the business and there are vacancies for hardworking likeminded employees in the new and exciting venture - Alan is looking for operations, kitchen/bakery/mill and sales staff.
Our Facility
Speciality Farm Foods is a small family business demanding and supplying the highest standard of quality and service. The company was created on a small holding in Devon in 2007 and has recently moved in to an industrial unit providing modern packing and storage facilities. A research and development kitchen on the farm will work with a mill, a bakery and a production kitchen.
Past, Present and Future
Alan has 40 years of experience leading the field in developing the sales of speciality foods in the UK. Speciality Farm Foods sources superb ingredients from around the world whilst developing their own range of traditional farm foods in the UK. Plans to open a flour mill, a bakery and a production kitchen are all in place for the next few years.
Philosophy
Speciality Farm Foods will always offer ingredients from sustainable sources these will also be produced on organic principles and when possible they will be certified.
Packaging
It must be accepted that to supply a guarantee of quality when retailing our ingredients the packaging must be up to the job. Unfortunately we have not yet found a compostable or recyclable solution other than a tin caddy and glass storage jar, we feel these are a solution that our customers should provide as a permanent container. We do offer containers for this purpose and most of our ingredients can be purchased loose from us off our website - in paper and foil bags as a refill option.
